Obituary for Stephen J. DeLucas
Stephen J. DeLucas, 92 years of Whitehall died Friday December 7, 2012 in his residence. He was the husband of the late Veronica M. (Weretta) DeLucas who died July 6, 2012. Born in Nazareth, Pa. he was the son of the late Frank A. and Mary Dlugos. Stephen was a member of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church of Whitehall. He was the former owner of the Catasauqua Nursery and an avid rose fancier and landscaper. He was previously employed by the former Russell Moyer’s Butcher Shop of Northampton, the former Two Guys Department Store of Whitehall, the former Zimmerman’s Market of Allentown and the Kidd Brothers Dairy Farm of Macungie. He is survived by daughters Audrey J. wife of Tony Rogers of Whitehall, Alison M. wife of Tim Stephenson of Bath, son Marc S. husband of Patti DeLucas of Catasauqua, sisters Helen Fashing of Catasauqua and Teresa (Terri) wife of Stephen Sinko of Macungie. Steve has five grandchildren, one great grandson and two step grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Tuesday December 11, 2012 in St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church 618 Fullerton Avenue Whitehall 18052. His viewing will be in the church Tuesday 9:00am until 10:00am. The Brubaker Funeral Home of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements.
