Obituary for Sylvia C. Mondjack

Sylvia C. Mondjack, 75 years, of North Catasauqua, died surrounded by her family Saturday May 20th, 2017 after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth M. (Ference) Mondjack.

Sylvia was a member of Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church in North Catasauqua. She was a graduate of Whitehall High School and attended the Allentown Business School. Sylvia studied art and sculpting at Baum School of Art. She retired from Agere, formerly Western Electric, after 42 years of service. Sylvia volunteered at Allentown General Hospital for 12 years as a Grey Lady and at the Catasauqua Community Thrift Store since 2001. She was an avid reader and loved art and traveling.

She is survived by her brother Bill Mondjack and wife Carol; niece Adele Schwartz Munsterman and husband Mike and their children Zachary and Elizabeth, nephew William F. Mondjack II and his daughter Freya.

Funeral Services will be held at 10am Tuesday May 23rd, 2017 at Holy Trinity Russian Orthodox Church, 1023 5th St, Catasauqua, PA 18032. Her viewing will be held at 8:30-9:30am at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 WALNUT ST. CATASAUQUA, PA 18032. Memorial contributions may be made in her name payable to the church.
