Obituary for Theresa A. "Tess" Gerhard
Theresa Ann Gerhard, 66 years, of North Catasauqua passed away on Sunday September 16, 2012. She was the loving wife of Kurt W. Gerhard. Born in North Catasauqua she was the daughter of the late Anna M. (Schlacter) and B. Jerome Gillespie. Tess was a 1964 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She recently retired from The Suburban North YMCA in Catasauqua, where she was employed for the past 22 years. She was a member of St. Lawrence the Martyr Catholic Church, N. Catasauqua. Surviving with her husband Kurt, daughter, Melissa, wife of William Brown of N. Catasauqua; daughter, Nicole, wife of Joe Gomes of Catasauqua; granddaughter Tyra Brown; grandson, Cole Brown; twin granddaughters, Eva and Mia Gomes; brother Jerome Gillespie, husband of Margaret of N. Catasauqua; father-in-law Richard Gerhard of North Catasauqua; sister-in-laws, Darlene Gillespie and Janice Jones; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Theresa was preceded in death by brothers, Richard and Charles Gillespie. Funeral services will be 11:00am Thursday September 20th, 2012 in the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua.
