Obituary for Theresa A. (Tokarski) Torbey
Theresa A. Torbey, 74, of Coplay, passed away on July 10, 2021, at Sacred Heart Senior Living by the Creek. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Torbey. They shared over 27 loving years together and would have celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary on July 10th. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter J. and Genevieve (Czarkowski) Tokarski.
Theresa was a 1964 graduate of Bishop Colton High School in Buffalo, New York. She worked as a Senior Client Associate for Wells Fargo for many years. She was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Egypt.
In addition to her loving husband, Richard, she is survived by stepdaughter, Angela (Wellington) Pitman of Bethlehem; brother, Thomas Tokarskyi of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Rosemarie Garbo of West Seneca, NY; step grandchildren, Christopher, Ana, and Abigail Pitman; and step great grandchild, Christopher Pitman.
A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Brubaker Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, PA 18037. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home from 10-11 AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Humane Society. Brubaker Funeral Home of Coplay is entrusted with arrangements.
