Obituary for Theresa M. Schwartz
Theresa M. Schwartz, 102 of Slatington passed away on January 22nd, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. She was the wife of the late John F. Schwartz. Born in North Coplay on September 18, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Mathias and Juliana (Pfeiffer) Graf.
She was a sewing machine operator for various Lehigh Valley garment manufacturers. In addition, she worked on the family farm. She was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Coplay. She was also a lifelong member of NEFFS and Laurys Fire Company.
Theresa was a huge Philadelphia Phillies fan and rarely missed listening or watching them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by three sons; John of Whitehall, James and his wife Ellen of Walnutport and Ronald with whom she resided; one sister Elsie, wife of Reynold Schneck of Allentown; six grandchildren; John, Kevin, Mark, James, Shelly, and Scott; and ten great grandchildren. She was predeceased by brothers; Adolf, Frank, and Herman; sisters; Julie and Hermenia and daughter in law Jean.
There will be a calling period held on Friday, January 26, 2024, at St. Peter’s R.C.C. in Coplay from 10-11 a.m. A mass of Christian burial will follow in the church at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Peter’s R.C.C. Cemetery in Coplay.
