Obituary for Thomas D. Farrell
Thomas D. Farrell, 85, of Laurys Station, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022, in his residence. He was the beloved husband of Rose A. (Yeakel) Farrell with whom he would have celebrated 66 wonderful years this coming June the 16th. Born in Jim Thorpe, he was the son of the late Thomas and Gertrude (Bechtold) Farrell.

Thomas was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Laurys Station. He was employed at Mack Trucks for 34 years before his retirement in 1999. Thomas was a skilled handyman and tinkerer, especially with vehicles. He was extremely active and walked daily. Thomas was an avid bowler who bowled in several leagues during his lifetime. He loved crossword puzzles, and playing word games with his wife, Rose. Above all, Thomas loved spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, loving father, and caring grandfather and great-grandfather who will be truly missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, Rose, he is survived by children, Kim L. Wechsler of Coplay, Mark S. Farrell of Walnutport, and Kevin S. Farrell and wife, Sherri of Fogelsville; grandchildren, Kristy Huff, Eric Wechsler, and Hannah Farrell; great-grandchildren, Stella and Clark; and many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by sister, Louise Zarbatany of Bethlehem.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Brubaker Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
