Obituary for Timothy J. "Pop" Lansky, Sr.
Timothy J. “Pop” Lansky, Sr. of Coplay died Tuesday January 22, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of the late Margaret J. (Kiss) Lansky. Born in Stiles on January 24th, 1924, he was a son of the late Alexander and Susanna (Onkotz) Lansky. Tim was the owner and operator of T.J. Lansky & Son in Coplay. Prior to that he briefly worked for Mack Truck. He was a Staff Sergeant in Army during WWII. Surviving are his son Timothy J. II; daughter Susan C. Shafer and husband Steven; grandchildren Tim III and Karen E. Shafer. He was preceded in death by his brothers Michael and John. Funeral services will be held at 11am Saturday, January 26th, 2013 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, 18032. His viewing will be from 9;30-11am Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his name to Animals in Distress c/o the funeral home.
