Obituary for Tyler Bernard Smith
Tyler Bernard Smith, 32 years of Northampton, died in his home on Tuesday May 14th, 2013. He was the husband of Chanan (Cortez) Smith. They celebrated their 7th wedding anniversary this year. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Thomas Benner and Brenda Smith. Tyler worked as an electrician for Edison Electric and was an apprentice and a member of IBEW #375 since 2005. He was a Marine Corps vet who served during Operation Enduring Freedom in Kuwait. Tyler was a loving father and an attentive husband and best friend to Chanan. He loved music, especially Pantera, and was a tattoo enthusiast and avid fisherman. Surviving along with his parents and wife, Chanan, is his stepmother Marianne Benner; sons Riley and Torin Smith; daughter Madison Smith and step-daughter Kahley Good.; brother Thomas Benner, Jr.; sister Nicole Smith; nephew Blu Quigley; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm Saturday May 18th, 2013 at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 11:00am until 12:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in his name payable to and care of the funeral home.
