Obituary for Walter W. Radon
Walter W. Radon, 95 years, of Whitehall, died Tuesday September 11th, 2018 at his son’s home in Northampton. He was the husband of the late Isabel M. (Dewalt) Radon. Born in Stiles, he was the son of the late Walter and Pauline (Pellick) Radon.
Walter was employed by PennDot as an inspector for 30 years before retiring in 1984. He was an Army veteran of WWII.
He was a member of the Coplay American Legion and Coplay Senior Citizens. He was a huge Boston Redsox fan. He was on the pierogi committee at St. Nick’s in Northampton for 25 years with his late wife.
Survivors include sons Dennis Kressley and his wife Linda of Northampton and Melvin Kressley and his fiancée Jo Ann Smith of Allentown, a daughter Doris Reese and her husband Oliver of Allentown, a sister Helen Ziatyk of New Kensington, PA, 8 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Friday September 14th, 2018 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037. Call from 10-11am Friday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park 1700 Airport Rd. Allentown, PA 18109. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.
His family would like to give sincere thanks to the Whitehall-Coplay Basketball coaches Jeff Jones and Corey Frantz for their kindness and generosity towards Walter and for including him as a true Zephyr.
