Obituary for William A. Moyer
William A. Moyer, 50, of Whitehall, died Friday April 11, 2008 at Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest, in Allentown. He was the husband of Michelle A. (Nederostek) Moyer of Whitehall and they celebrated their 28th wedding anniversary October 13, 2007. Born in Allentown and raised in Catasauqua, he was a son of the late Jonas F. and Dorothy M. (Thomas) Moyer. William was a member of St. Mary’s Church of the Annunciation B.V.M. Catholic Church in Catasauqua and the Assembled Men’s Group of St. Mary’s. He was also active with bible studies at Grace Gospel Chapel in Allentown. He was self employed as a land developer and a real estate investor, and also owner of Beltzville Auto Sales. Previously he was employed at Rothrock Motor Sales in Allentown where he initially worked in the service department and later moved into sales. He later became their Used Car Sales Manager and then their Assistant General Manager. Prior to his business endeavors he was employed at Container Corporation. He was always interested in and enjoyed business, boating, cars, coaching baseball and traveling to Florida. He was involved with car shows including Northampton Rediscover Classic Car Show and Pappy’s Car Cruises, which benefited the Northampton Fire Police. Most importantly he was a man of strong faith, great character, a wonderful family man and a friend to all who knew him. He was the loving and caring husband and father to his wife Michelle and sons William A. Moyer and David M. Moyer both at home. Brother Edward F. husband of Dolores Moyer of Beverly Hills, Fl., niece Kimberly A. Moyer and great niece Brooke Y. Brown both of Hernando, Fl. He was preceded in death by a brother Irwin D. Moyer and a niece Yvonne Brown. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Thursday April 17, 2008 in St. Mary’s Church of the Annunciation BVM 122 Union Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032. Call 7:00pm until 8:30 pm Wednesday and 8:30am until 9:30am Thursday in the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made payable to the church or Grace Gospel Chapel, 1642 Ehrets Lane, Allentown, PA 18103.
