Obituary for William C. Columbo
William C. Columbo, 92, of Slatington, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2006 at his home. He was the husband of the late Anna (Kulick) Columbo. Born in Fullerton, he was a son of the late Michael and Sophia (Blozinsky) Kolumber. He worked for the former Luria Steel in Bethlehem for 26 years before retiring in 1977. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church of N. Catasauqua. He was a lifetime member of the Copeechan Fish & Game Club of Schnecksville and also a former member of the Coplay Saengerbund. Survivors include sons, William and his wife Bobbie of Schnecksville, Richard and his wife Barbara of Naples, FL, 2 grandchildren Lisa and Brian Columbo of Virginia. Son, Eugene and wife Eleanor Kovalchick of N. Catasauqua, daughter, Virginia and husband Michael Mehalshick of Whitehall, 22 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren, 11 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter Margaret Lynch, and two sons, Andrew and George Kovalchick, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2006 at 11:00AM in St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 1229 Third St. N. Catasauqua. Calling hours will be held from 9:30-10:30AM Tuesday in the John H. Brubaker Funeral Home, 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA. Memorial contributions can be made to the church.
