William F. Weiner, 89, of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at his home on October 21, 2023. He was married to Helen M. (Sodl) Weiner for 45 years before her passing in January of 2011.
Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late Stephen Weiner, Sr. and Josephine (Bickel) Weiner.
William served honorably in the U.S. Army. He obtained his Associates Degree from Lehigh Carbon Community College. He was a supervisor for the department of welfare and retired in 1999 after 38 years.
He was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church, Coplay. He was a member of the Coplay Saengerbund and the Hungarian Hall in Northampton. William loved polka dancing. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He will be lovingly remembered by, daughters, Christine wife of Jeffrey Getz, Monica wife of Eugene Jandris, granddaughter, Rachel wife of Ryan Perl, great grandchildren, Julian and Quinn; niece Brenda Hittinger; sister in law Anita and many great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters, Mary Strini and husband Daniel, Josephine and husband Frank, brother Stephen, nephew Michael Reinisch, and niece Cynthia Strini.
There will be a calling period on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 09:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 327 Chestnut St., Coplay followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., St. Peters Catholic Church, Coplay. Interment to follow at the church cemetery in Coplay.
