Obituary for William H. Walker
SMSGT William H. Walker, 74 years, of Northampton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday April 18th, 2018 in his home. He was the husband of Joyce M. (Phillips) Walker, celebrating 40 years of marriage. Born in Honesdale, PA, he was the son of the late Lester and Merilla (Daniels) Walker.
William was a veteran of the U.S.A.F., serving as a Jet Engine Mechanic and Quality Control Inspector for 23 years until retirement in December 1986. He was then employed by Allentown Housing Authority as Public Housing Manager for 18 years.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a huge fan of NASCAR racing, the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also loved making crafts for his granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, sons Jacob of Northampton and Steven of Gilbertsville, a daughter Jean of Utah, a brother Ted and his wife Mary of Lake Ariel, PA, a sister Suzanne, wife of Al Ciscoe of Moscow, PA, and a granddaughter Kaitlyn, several nieces and nephews and a large extended family. He was predeceased by a sister Mary Ellen Britton.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037.
