He was the beloved husband of Dorothy M. (Casper) Polaha, of Coplay, for 68 beautiful years of marriage. They celebrated their anniversary this past May 15th. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary (Brezina) Polaha.

William was a 1949 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Allentown. He went on to honorably serve his nation in the Air Force during the Korean War. He enjoyed volunteering his time for those in need and spent many days as the groundskeeper for Sammy Balliet Stadium. He was a member of the American Legion and a baseball coach for the Northampton Legion. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and a lifelong Notre Dame football fan. He enjoyed making many trips to South Bend to watch them play. William also enjoyed bowling in leagues at the local American Club. Above all, William was a devoted husband, caring father, and loving grandfather. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.
