Obituary for William M. Bretz
William M. Bretz, 76, of North Catasauqua, died Thursday May 20, 2010 at his home. He was the husband of the late Jean K. (Kern) Bretz. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late William M. and Anna K. (Rayden) Bretz. William was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catasauqua. Before retiring, he worked for many years at the Bethlehem Steel Corp. as an environmental safety tech. Prior to that he worked at the Lehigh Portland Cement Company. After retiring he enjoyed spending time with his family, bus trips to Atlantic City, gardening, and walking with buddies at the mall. Survivors include his son William, II, husband of Kimbery Bretz; Eric, husband of Barbara Bretz; and Philip, husband of Michelle Bretz; daughters Linda, wife of Doug Sheriff; brother Robert Bretz; grandchildren Morgan, Billy, Logan, Dalton, Mikayla, Dylan, Alexander. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter Nicole and his brother Rich. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, May 25th, 2010 at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 417 Howertown Rd., Catasauqua, PA 18032. Call from 11:30am-1pm at the church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his name payable to the Angel 34 Foundation, P.O. Box 494, Nazareth, PA. 18064.
