Obituary for Norbert E. Bennett
Norbert E. Bennett, 91, formerly of Coplay, passed away September 26, at the home of his son. He was married to the late Eleanor E. (Gaumer) Bennett. Born in Coplay, he was the son of the late George and Stella (Walbert)Bennett. After 41 years of service, he retired as the audio-visual coordinator for the Whitehall-Coplay School District in 1990. A WWII veteran, he served as a sergeant in the US Army Air Force. He was a member of Trinity UCC Church, Coplay and was the first lay minister in the Northeast UCC Conference. Survivors: Son David L. and wife Victoria of Macungie; grandsons, Wade, Christopher, and David A. He was predeceased by a daughter, Ellen Binder Services: Viewing from 11:00 a.m. to Noon, Friday, September 30, Robert A. Hauke Funeral Home, 327 Chestnut St., Coplay, followed by a service at Noon.
