Obituary for Lorraine C. Hoffman
Lorraine C. Hoffman, 88 of Catasauqua, died Saturday April 8, 2017 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg, Bethlehem, PA. She was the wife of the late Dale S. Hoffman. Born on August 24, 1928, in Moore Township, PA she was the daughter of the late Quentin D. and Hilda I. Heberling Hartzell.
She was retired from Hess’s Department Store, Allentown, PA after over 25 years of service. After retirement she enjoyed crocheting and being a vendor at craft shows. She also was a great cook and baker, and enjoyed feeding the family and neighbors.
Survivors: Daughter Linda wife of Samuel Burrows of Catasauqua, Sons Philip and wife Sandra Hoffman, Timothy and wife Dawn Hoffman, both of Mertztown, PA. Brother Dale and wife Ann of Northampton, PA. Grandchildren Trisha Dover, Stacey Pishula, Shawn Burrows, Michele Gmitter, Audry Krupiak, Christine Hoffman, great grandchildren Jacob and Danielle Brown, Isabella, Aidan, Katelyn Gmitter and Remington Krupiak.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Clair and Donald Hartzell, Sisters June Dutko, Betty Zmarsley and Barbara Confer.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, April 12, at the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032. Viewing will be 10:00 am until 11:00 am on Wednesday in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Catasauqua Food Bank.
