Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" I. Murphy
Elizabeth I. Murphy, 92 years, of Catasauqua, died on Thursday April 13, 2017 at Whitehall Manor. She was the wife of the late Joseph F. Murphy. Born in Catasauqua, she was a daughter of the late Hobart and Stella (Strunk) Kern.
She enjoyed sunbathing, rolling skating at Skateaway and watching college basketball.
Survivors include a son Joe and his wife Carol of Catasauqua, brothers Randy and wife Judy Kern, and Hobie and wife Grace Kern, grandsons Joe and Hunter and a greatgrandson Cody. She was predeceased by grandsons Charles and Kevin Golemon, sisters Madelyn, Ruth and Elinor and brothers Donald and David.
Funeral services will be private. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut Street Catasauqua, Pa. 18032 is in charge of arrangements.
