Obituary for John A. Selady
John A. Selady, 93, of Coplay, passed away on May 14, 2021, in his residence surrounded by his family. He was the husband of Elsie (Petrasovits) Selady. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Louis and Mary Szilagyi.
John was a graduate of Coplay High School. He worked as a mail carrier for the Coplay Post Office for over 25 years before his retirement in 1988. John also worked part-time as a bartender at the Coplay Saengerbund where he was a lifelong member. He was a member of St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in Coplay.
In addition to his loving wife, Elsie, he is survived by daughter Lisa Selady of Whitehall and son John Selady of Coplay. He was predeceased by one brother and three sisters.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., Coplay, is entrusted with arrangements.
