Obituary for Robert J. Searfass
Robert J. Searfass, 82, died Friday, June 4th, 2021 at his home in Catasauqua. He was the husband of Barbara (Leibensperger) Searfass and celebrated 61 years of marriage this year. Born in Catasauqua, Robert was a son of the late Clyde and Mildred (Snyder) Searfass.
Robert was a Vietnam War Veteran honorable serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1961-1967. He was a hard worker and was employed by Penske Trucking as a diesel mechanic for 25 years before retiring in 2001. Robert was a life member of the Teamsters 773 Local as well as a life member of the East End Fire Co. in Catasauqua.
Surviving with his wife Barbara are his daughter Shirley Crandall and husband Scott; brother Edward Searfass and wife Janet; sisters Dolores Allen and Doris Schleicher; and a granddaughter Debbie. Robert was preceded in death by a son Scott.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua are handling the arrangements.
