Obituary for Francis "Fran" B. Russo
Francis “Fran” B. Russo, 74, formerly of Whitehall, passed away on August 8, 2021, at Lutheran Home in Topton. He was the beloved husband of the late Linda K. (Smith) Russo for 34 years before her passing in September of 2005. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Angelo and Angeline (Renzo) Russo.
Fran was a graduate of Kutztown University where he achieved his bachelor’s degree in mathematics and master’s degree in counseling. He worked as a math teacher for 40 years for Whitehall Middle School before his retirement. Fran loved being outdoors, especially gardening and fishing. He also loved to cook and eat.
He is survived by sons, Gianni Russo of Whitehall; and Michael Russo and his wife Michelle of Laurys Station.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Allen Union Cemetery at 4th St & Main St Northampton, PA 18067. Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc., Coplay is entrusted with arrangements.
