Obituary for Shirley M. Acker
Shirley M. Acker, 95, of Allentown passed away peacefully on February 26, 2024, at Above and Beyond at the Knights in Allentown.
Formally of North Catasauqua, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Kocher and Nora (Eastman) Kocher.
She was the wife of the late Tilghman H. Acker who passed away in 1979.
Shirley was a graduate of Allentown High School. She was a member of the former Grace Methodist Church in North Catasauqua.
She was an assembler for General Electric where she retired in 1985 after 35 years of service.
Shirley was kind and always had a smile on her face. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Those left to cherish fond memories include her nephews William Kocher and his wife Peggy; Arthur Acker and wife Diane and Larry Acker; niece Cheryl Browning and husband Dean. She was predeceased by brother William and sister Marjorie.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
