Obituary for Charles S. Elias, Jr.
Charles S. Elias Jr., 84, of Allentown, died Tuesday January 8, 2019 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Muhlenberg. He was the husband of Dolores E. (Ritter) Elias with whom he celebrated 62 years of marriage. Born in Bath, he was the son of the late Charles S. and Helen (Howard) Elias Sr.
Charles was a layout operator for the former Western Electric in Allentown for 24 years before retiring. He spent his retirement years working at the Lehigh Valley Zoo and was an avid hunter.
He was a Navy veteran of the Korean War, stationed on the USS Caperton.
Surviving with his wife is a son David C. Elias, daughters Karen Miltenberger and Terri, wife of Albert Ianno, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 niece and 1 nephew. He was predeceased by a brother Thomas Elias and a son in law Peter Miltenberger.
Funeral services will be held at 12pm on Saturday January 12, 2019 at Brubaker Funeral Home Inc. 327 Chestnut St. Coplay, PA 18037. A viewing will be held from 10am-12pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, c/o the funeral home.
