Obituary for Viola Bachert
Viola Bachert, 80 years, died Friday May 3rd, 2019 at her residence at Cedarbrook Nursing Home in Allentown. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Bachert Sr. She was born in Pottsville and was the daughter of late Earle and Viola (Harvick) Kates.
Viola was a member of Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church of Whitehall. She worked for many years as the head of housekeeping for the Days Inn. Viola also was a member of the Cherryville Senior Center.
Surviving are her sons Richard Jr. and wife Debbie, Roy and wife Krisann, Danny and wife Yvonne, daughter Bonnie and husband Dale Benner; brothers Larry Kates and Butch Kates; sisters Ann Guth, Pat and husband Jerry Van Luvanee; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings and grandson Brandon Firing.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
