Obituary for Nancy S. Pietrobon
Nancy S. Pietrobon, 85, of Fellowship Community, Whitehall, passed away January 15th, 2015. The daughter of Clarence and Marie (Vickery) Shoch, she was born in Swedesboro, NJ. A lifelong resident of Allentown and a proud and devoted member of the Allen class of 47, she relished her role as the class "anchor." After attending Cedar Crest College for a year, she married her husband of 50 years, Vincent John Pietrobon who predeceased her in 1999. As a member of Asbury Methodist Church throughout her life, she played with the Jubilation Ringers for 10 years and coordinated the church's participation in Meals on Wheels. A staunch patriot, she held numerous offices at both the state and local levels of the Reserve Officers Assc. of Ladies, including State, National President and Life Member. She also was an accomplished Professional Registered Parliamentarian. Surviving are a daughter Ann and partner Sharon Archer of Greentown, PA, a son, Vincent, Jr. of Wheat Ridge, CO, two brothers, Clarence Shoch, Jr., wife Myrtle, of West Brandywine, PA, C. Roger Shoch, wife Ann, of Oxon Hill, MD, cousin Anita Bouvier, husband Edward, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 2pm Friday May 1st, at Asbury United Methodist Church, 1533 Springhouse Road, Allentown, 18104. There will be a calling period in the Church Parlor from 1-2pm Interment will be held at 1pm Monday May 4th at Arlington National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name, payable to Meals on Wheels care of the Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. 234 Walnut St. Catasauqua, PA 18032.
