Obituary for Robert V. Boettger
Robert V. Boettger, 75 years of Allentown, formerly of West Catasauqua, died at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown on Tuesday June 25, 2013. He was the husband of Elizabeth (Nemeth) Boettger. They celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary this year. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Harry W. and Sophie M. (Krafisch) Boettger. Robert was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Catasauqua. Before retiring he worked as a machine operator at both the Fairtex and Wrights Textile mills. He was a former member of the Catty Moose and was a die-hard Phillies & Eagles fan. Surviving along with his wife Elizabeth is his son Michael Boettger. Daughters; Brenda wife of Sean Campbell, Robin wife of Barry Houck, Kathleen Bedocs, Sue wife of Jim Rodriguez, MaryJane wife of Ron Schaffer, Rosemarie wife of Scott Krantz and Barbara Bedocs. sisters Marlene & MaryAnn Boettger. 14 Grandchildren and 9 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter Helen Check. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Friday June 28th, 2013 at St. Mary’s Church, 122 Union Street, Catasauqua, PA 18032. There will be a calling period from 9:00am until 10:00am prior to the service at the church.
