Obituary for Leonard T. Benninger
Leonard T. Benninger, died just 12 days shy of his 90th birthday. He was the husband of Dorothy (Szmodis) Benninger. Born in Stiles, PA, he was the son of Edgar and Martha (Fahringer) Benninger. He was employed by Mack Trucks for 27 years before retiring in 1988. During his life, he enjoyed deep sea fishing, hunting and league bowling. He was a talented craftsman who built his Catasauqua home.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Mark, daughters Diane Wargo, Dolores Benninger, wife of Joseph Billera, Carol, wife of Gustavo Monteverde, Christine Benninger, wife of John Yonce, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother Edgar and sister Evelyn Rothdeutsch. He was predeceased by his sister Doris.
Calling hours will be held from 11 to 12pm. Memorial services will be held at 12 pm,, Saturday February 6, 2016, at Brubaker Funeral Home, inc.
