Obituary for Catherine J. Check
Catherine J. Check, 84 years of Catasauqua died Wednesday February 17, 2016 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Albert P. Check. Born in Coplay she was the daughter of the late Julius and Catherine (Steiner) Gollatz.
Catherine was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Catasauqua. She had worked at the former Raxon Silk Mill as a Floor Hand for 30 years before retiring. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and polka music.
Surviving is a daughter Dr. Sandra Miller wife of David, a son Albert A. Check, sister Vilma Gollatz and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family. The Brubaker Funeral Home, Inc. of Catasauqua is in charge of arrangements. Contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project 301 Grant Street Suite 900 Pittsburgh, Pa. 15219.
